Hydraulic shop press is a kind of equipment which uses the principle of hydraulic transmission to exert pressure on the workpiece. It is mainly composed of fuselage, hydraulic system, working platform and power device. Its basic principle is based on Pascal's law, that is, the pressure on the sealing liquid can be transmitted in all directions without change. When the oil pump in the hydraulic system delivers hydraulic oil to the oil cylinder, the piston in the oil cylinder will move linearly under the action of oil pressure, thus exerting great pressure on the workpiece placed on the working platform.
The frame of hydraulic shop press is an integral frame structure, which is usually made of welded or cast steel plates. This structure makes the hydraulic shop press have good rigidity and stability, and can effectively prevent the deformation of the fuselage. It is suitable for occasions with high precision and high pressure, such as the processing of aerospace parts and the pressing of large molds.
Main Components and Functions of Hydraulic Shop Press
Hydraulic system:
Including oil pump, oil cylinder, hydraulic valve and oil pipe. The oil pump is the power source of the hydraulic system and is responsible for transporting hydraulic oil from the oil tank to the oil cylinder. Oil cylinder is the key component to generate pressure, and the piston inside it moves under the push of hydraulic oil, thus realizing the output of pressure. Hydraulic valve is used to control the flow, direction and pressure of hydraulic oil, so as to realize various actions of the hydraulic shop press, such as pressure adjustment, rising and falling of the working platform, etc. The tubing plays the role of connecting various hydraulic components to ensure the smooth flow of hydraulic oil in the system.
Working platform:
It is divided into an upper platform and a lower platform. The upper platform is generally connected with the piston of the oil cylinder, and the lower platform is used to place the workpiece. The surface of the working platform is usually finely machined to ensure the flatness and roughness meet the requirements, so as to ensure the uniform stress of the workpiece during the pressing process. The working platform of some hydraulic shop presses can also be replaced or adjusted according to the size and shape of the workpiece to meet different processing needs.
Fuselage:
The fuselage is the supporting structure of the press, which provides a stable installation foundation for the hydraulic system and the working platform. Different types of hydraulic shop presses have different structures, but their common feature is that they have sufficient strength and stiffness to withstand the huge pressure generated during the working process. The quality of the fuselage directly affects the stability and service life of the press.
